Steven Cammiss, a Senior Lecturer in Law at Leicester Law School, University of Leicester, is undertaking a research study on the safety of vulnerable road users. He will be holding focus groups with cyclists to discuss why we cycle, how safe (or otherwise) we feel, what can make us feel safer, and the role of the law in promoting safety, at the CyclingUK HQ in Railton Road, Guildford, GU2 9JX. He hopes to organise groups with a range of cycling experiences, but is particularly interested in hearing from occasional or social cyclists.
You do not need to have been involved in an accident/incident; he is seeking views on perceptions of safety, not necessarily on actual incidents/prosecutions. Finally, when the research is published, participants will not be named; your anonymity is guaranteed. There may be a small incentive offered to anyone who participates but details of this are not available at this stage.
